Interrogative Form – Forma Interrogativa
Formamos a interrogativa do verbo "to be" invertendo a posição do verbo e o sujeito. O verbo vem antes do sujeito:
Affirmative - Interrogative
I am - am I?
you are - are you?
he is - is he?
she is - is she?
it is - is it?
we are - are we?
you are - are you?
they are - are they?
Exemplos:
I am late (Eu estou atrasado) – Am I late?
You are a tour guide (Você é guia de turismo) – Are you a tour guide?
Peter is an architect (Peter é arquiteto) – Is Peter an architect?
Mary is a typist (Mary é datilógrafa) – Is Mary a typist?
It is a good book (É um bom livro) – Is it a good book?
We are early (Nós estamos adiantados) – Are we early?
You are brothers (Vocês são irmãos) – Are you brothers?
