Podemos formar o futuro de todos os verbos em inglês de dois modos: podemos usar “will” ou “going to”.
Futuro com “will”:
Afirmativa Interrogativa Negativa
I will be (Eu serei) Will I be? I will not be
You will be (Você será) Will you be? You will not be
He will be (Ele será) Will he be? He will not be
She will be (Ela será) Will she be? She will not be
It will be (Ele/ela será) Will it be? It will not be
We will be (Nós seremos) Will we be? We will not be
You will be (Vocês serão) Will you be? You will not be
They will be (Eles serão) Will they be? They will not be
São geralmente usadas as contrações. Afirmativa: I’ll = I will – you’ll = you will – he’ll = he will – she’ll = she will – it’ll = it will – we’ll = we will – they’ll = they will. Negativa: I won’t = I will not – you won’t = you will not – he won’t = he will not – she won’t = she will not – it won’t = it will not – we won’t = we will not – they won’t = they will not.
Observe que estamos usando um auxiliar, por isso o verbo principal não muda na terceira pessoal do singular (he, she, it).
Futuro com “going to”:
Afirmativa Interrogativa
I’m going to be (Eu serei) Am I going to be?
You are going to be (Você será) Are you going to be?
He is going to be (Ele será) Is he going to be?
She is going to be (Ela será) Is she going to be?
It is going to be (Ele/ela será) Is it going to be?
We are going to be (Nós seremos) Are we going to be?
You are going to be (Vocês serão) Are you going to be?
They are going to be (Eles/elas serão) Are they going to be?
Formamos a negativa colocando “not” após o verbo;
Como foi dito acima, o futuro de todos os verbos são feitos empregando uma das duas formas. Vamos conjugar o futuro de três verbos que já conhecemos, usando as duas formas:
To have:
I will have / I am going to have – You will have / You are going to have – He will have / He is going to have – She will have / She is going to have – It will have / It is going to have – We will have / We are going to have – You will have / You are going to have – They will have / They are going to have
To do: (Vamos usar contração)
I’ll do / I’m going to do – You’ll do / You’re going to do – He’ll do / He’s going to do – She’ll do / She’s going to do – It’ll do / It’s going to do – We’ll do / We’re going to do – You’ll do / You’re going to do – They’ll do / They’re going to do
To work:
I’ll work / I’m going to work – You’ll work / You’re going to work – He’ll work / He’s going to work – She’ll work / She’s going to work – It’ll work / It’s going to work – We’ll work / We’re going to work – You’ll work / You’re going to work – They’ll work / They’re going to work
Qual a diferença entre uma forma e outra? – Na prática nenhuma. O que existe é uma tendência do britânico de usar “will” e o americano usar “going to”. |
