O presente contínuo descreve uma ação que está acontecendo no momento.
Formamos o presente contínuo em inglês, acrescentando “ing” ao verbo e usando o auxiliar “to be”, conjugando este.
Exemplos:
I walk = Eu caminho – I am walking = Eu estou caminhando
You walk = Você caminha – You are walking = Você está caminhando
He walks = Ele caminha – He is walking = Ele está caminhando
She walks = Ela caminha – She is walking = Ela está caminhando
It walks = Ele/ela caminha – It is walking = Ele/ela está caminhando
We walk = Nós caminhamos – We are walking = Nós estamos caminhando
You walk = Vocês caminham – You are walking – Vocês estão caminhando
They walk = Eles caminham – They are walking = Eles estão caminhando
